Automatic Reconnection System for the Main Substation

Challenge

The main substation did not have its own line protection system against temporary faults; its only protection was fuses.

Approach

• Installation of its own recloser system, according to the integration designs of the operator Air-e.
• Fault detection and isolation with automatic circuit reconnection.

Results

The installations are currently in progress. Once operational, it is expected to provide greater supply reliability, shorter outage durations, reduced interruption costs, and management with remote monitoring.
