Modernization of Extruder 27 Control

Challenge

Extruder 27’s control system was obsolete, with low production affecting process availability and reliability.

Approach

• Implementation of a new-generation Siemens S7-1500 PLC.
• Incorporation of distributed I/O ET200SP.
• Installation of a Siemens HMI for machine operation.
• Integration of a motor driver for machine motor control.

Results

Modernized control, updated operation via the HMI, and increased reliability of the production process.
